First before anything else-THANKS to all of you wonderful Volvo owners who post here. It has become my go-to resource before I call a mechanic-as I like to at least sound like I know what is going on with my 1999 S80! Have been burned too many times with this car-but I still LOVE it!

This forum is heaven sent for me! Having a tough time out here in NE Connecticut finding a foreign car specialist-have tried a few supposed reputable places only to endless fix same problems and my favorite is the Chevy dealer shop who broke my drivers window while repairing the Throttle Body module to the tune of $3k and said I need to pay them $887 for a window power regulator. This dumb girl took door apart to get window on track and all it needed was a $2.33 clip! Makes me wonder if I really needed all the work that they did in the 4 years I have owned car!

Couldn't have taken the window apart without all of you!! Maybe all my trials and tribulations will enable me to help someone else-gotta be worth something!

Well don't know if it was actually you! Your retail "arm" about the part for my window! Do you live in Old Saybrook area? Are we allowed to recommend mechanics here? If yes-can you suggest anyone north of you? Or are you one of the lucky ones who can do it all yourself?!
