Big Plans for S40

Default Big Plans for S40

Just picked up an '03 S40 last week and i was planning to chip it up within the next month and possibly a BOV... just wanted to know what you guys think and if anyone has any suggestions

Welcome

If you don't plan on any other engine mods then CHIP it now. However if you do plan on other engine mods like a new downpipe and catback system, bigger turbo, etc.. I would wait on the ecu upgrade.

The BOV is fine, I have one on my ride.

why should i wait on the chip if im planning on exhaust?

Because if you chip it and then change exhaust and other items that would affect the engine then your ECU would need to be reprogrammed with the new criteria. We aren't saying don't chip it, but wait until other engine mods are done and that way the ECU won't have to be reprogrammed, which means extra $$$$.
