First Volvo: 2003 S60
I purchased a 2003 S60 T5 AWD about a month ago in upstate/central New York from a small dealer/mechanic shop:
-2.5L Turbo Automatic 5-speed with Tiptronic & Premium/Leather Interior
-106,000 miles
I love it so far, just a few issues so far...ever since I got the car, its' LCD screens (mostly the "message" screen, but also the odometer/trip-counter screen & the gear/temperature screen) do not work properly about half the time. Sometimes they come on fine as soon as I start the car or sometimes none of them come on at ignition and they may or may not come back on (fully) while being on or driving. It is probably a loose connection or so I hope. Sometimes the LCDs will even come on after a love-tap above the drivers' side dash.
Also I was fortunate enough the other day to experience the infamous "Volvo rain screech" while driving during a heavy thunderstorm. From what I gather there is a bracket or something that can be added to prevent this from happening? Is this possible to be done yourself or does it need to be done by a dealer?
LOVE the S60 besides those minor issues though!!
