Default Frustrated with Volvo ...

Hi guys, I'm new on this forum. I'm not a Volvo owner yet but I'm making efforts. Why is so hard? Well, here’s the story:
I want to buy a 2006 S40 T5 from California. But I need to register and use it in Europe, where some of you may know, there are some special pollution standards: Euro4, Euro3 etc. Now, I know that California has also some pretty strict pollution standards but for sure there are not the same as the European ones.
All I need to know is if this car is compatible with the European standards, or if not, what modifications I need to bring.

I’m very frustrated with the customer service; they are sending me from a representative to another. I’m desperate; I really don’t know what to do anymore, whom to ask. Looks like everybody knows its part, but they are totally clueless about what the other continent is doing.

I have no words to tell you how much I would appreciate an answer.

Hmmm....that's a tricky one. If you haven't done so already, i'll bet if you found out the specifacations on the performance of a Euro Catalitic Converter vs. an American (or Californian...some states in the US don't require cat converters at all) and found out how many O2 sensors each had and then matched them part for part youd pass any Euro test out there....or at least trick them.
