Default Fuel economy

Hey everybody. I was wondering what everyone gets for fuel economy. I am not interested in what Volvo says you should be getting, but more in what you really get. To start the ball rolling I get:
23-25 highway
20-22 city
and i have a '91 240.

I have a 1984 240DL with 188,000 miles on it. I get about 30mpg highway with a cruising speed around 70mph. Efficiency goes down sharply at faster speeds! I get about 25mpg in the city, but I drive mostly on the highway.

She may be 20 years old, but she sure does treat me well!

Default RE: Fuel economy

Right now I am getting 23.8 mpg on my 94 850 Turbo. In the summer it goes up to about 25.8. This is combined driving, mostly highway. Just city it's probably around 21 and about 28 on the highway in the summer. Cold weather really brings down the fuel economy. I think the 98 V70 is getting around 23 mpg combined. My wife drives it most of the time so I dont keep track of it like I do the 850. One time I was driving from Columbus to Pittsburgh and decided to see what was the best mileage I could get by driving faster down hills and letting is slow down going up hills. The computer readout was 32 mpg at the end of the trip of about 180 miles. Keep in mind though that this car will also go 152 mph, but you don't want to look at the gas mileage then. Keeping it under 70 mph seems to get the best gas mileage.
