Greetings from cold Central Illinois. I just recently aquired a 90 780 (or is it 870) turbo Bertone from my father in law. He has had this car for 20 years, and it has 219,000 miles. He has put alot of money in this car over the years, and after the last overheat issue, he finally decided to move on. It seems a heater valve sprung a leak, and lost the coolant. It seems to be running okay now, but I really have no need for this car. So, I figured I would join a forum and see if there are people looking for these. Not sure how rare these are, but there has to be a reason he has kept it so long, and even bought another one a couple years ago, that sits in the garage.

 

They are pretty rare, most 23 year old cars are.

Are you going to sell it? Does the head gasket leak?

 

I am not sure if the head gasket is leaking or not. There is not the typical white smoke coming from the exhaust, and there does not apper to be oil in the water. I plan on trying to get it out of my driveway sooner than later to be honest. But again, I am not sure where to begin listing it. I doubt there is much of a market for this car except with Volvo enthusiasts. Im sure I could send it across the scales and get a few hundred bucks, but this car is not scrap yard material yet. Someone with one like it could use it for parts, or someone could put a few more bucks into it and make it a reall really nice classic.
