Hi everyone my name is Brian. A Volvo enthusiast since the age of 18. My first Volvo was a 1989 740GL sedan when I was 18. My father made me buy it because it was a safe car. At the time I didn't care what kind of car I got, I just needed one. I had to get another car because my 85 Impala had a cracked frame and the gas mileage was horrible. Ironically I never cared for Volvo's and at the time had made fun of the funny headrests found in the 200 and 700 series. Little did I know I would own one. I originally wanted a Pontiac and the car I desired the most was a Cadillac. But all that changed when I got my 89. The car eventually was traded with 215,000 miles for a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS sedan. The Focus was a great car no doubt but I began to miss my Volvo. I worked a lot of overtime to pay my Ford off and traded in for a 2000 S-70SE sedan. By this time I was 20 and began racking massive amounts of credit card debt. I was fearful that my S-70 would be a money pit so I let it go for a brand new 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt LS sedan. This by far was the worst car I ever owned. I then again worked very hard to pay this car off and back traded for a 2004 Saab 9-5 2.3t Arc sedan. I loved this car and owned for 3 years and traded for a 2007 XC-70. The XC-70 is now gone as of today, it was taken away via flatbed. I went through bankruptcy and gave the wagon up. I couldn't stand to be without a Volvo so I bought a 94 850Turbo sedan. I'm very happy with it and am very glad to have a car with a title again. I'd like to give a very big thanks to EricTheCarGuy and RobertDiy for their amazing how to videos via youtube. And now I'm very happy to be part of volvoforums because I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and concerns.
