Default HELLO ALL! From Saab to Volvo

Just today, very hesitantly, bought my first Volvo. I'll start by saying I know they're great vehicles, and I know I'll fall in love. But after only driving Saab's my entire life (minus a short 88 Mercedes 190d run) I feel like a traitor, but really not too much...

Anyways, sold my 01 Saab 9-3 a few months ago (was becoming a big pain, and owned for 5 years, so was ready for something new). Finally after months found this 98 Volvo V70 GLT, what I wanted was a large vehicle, awd, and the turbo was a plus (never been without one for long). It seems perfect and hope I enjoy it as much as I have my Saabs.

Pretty sure I got a decent deal on it, as far as I know so far. Paid $1,250 for it cash, again its a 1998 V70 GLT w/ AWD with 168k miles. Everything seems to work fine, minus it seems to run rich. In fair at best condition as of now, but think with a little cash and work I can get it looking much nicer soon.

Hope to love this car and enjoy this forum as much as I have my past.

Well for all you v70 guys, I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions soon...hope I'm not too annoying.

Hi and welcome to the forum. My daughter has a S70 and it is one of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. Perfect fit for me. High on the maintenance & repairs but I like to tinker so it works for me.

Good to see someone with experience owning both Swedish cars
Welcome

I actually started a discussion in the General forum about Volvo compared to Saab. I would be very interested in your input.
