hello, just joined
own a 1990 740 gle wagon, still new at 200k mile
unfortunately wont start. i dont believe its dead, so i came here hoping for help from others who've experienced same problem: sporatic not starting or idling, gradually getting worse. replaced coil. now car sounds like it will never start. (like not firing) compression is about 50 to 75 lbs. in each cylinder. timing belt still on and the marks line up.

First have you tried putting the old coil back on?
What does the speed sensor look like? It is located at the back of the engine in the top of the trans. If the sheilding is cracked and broke replace it.
