Default Hello, new member here 2002 S60 2.4 T

Hi,
I am new to Volvos and this board, but I have been on similar boards in the past and I'm always impressed by how much people help each other out.

Last week both turbos in my 2011 Ford Flex Ecoboost went out. There was so much smoke I thought they'd elected a new Pope. I won't see my Flex back until next Friday (and it's going to cost $4k ).

I checked online and found that renting the cheapest econobox would run $350 for two weeks. I am always trolling craigslist for interesting cars, so I decided to try buying something cheap and driving that for a few weeks instead. Best case scenario, I drive it for two weeks then sell it and get most of my money back.

Saturday morning I was with my son in Lancaster, PA, and I saw a 2002 Volvo S60 2.4T posted. The guy posted it at 6:30, by 7:30 we were in the lot looking at it. Hopefully the pics come across. It's Cosmos Blue, which is a great color for a Volvo.
I still can't get over the deal. It's inspected until November, almost new tires and brakes, AC works, engine is VERY strong, tranny works great, etc. I paid $600!. Minor issues include paint scratches, a sunroof shade that is off track and difficult to open/close, a sunroof that doesn't seem to want to open (but it vents fine), cracked front seats, a missing driver's side view mirror cover (it's duct taped for now), and that's about it. Radio works, all power options work, etc. Just remembered, the driver's power seat sometimes doesn't work, the passenger power seat never works, and the clock is possessed. Sometimes the clock just starts running, almost like a stopwatch.

This car is an absolute joy to drive.

My wife can't get over how nice it looks.

I have decided to keep it as a fun third car and slowly fix the issues.
It's very drivable now, so they're not priorities, but overall it's such a fun car to drive that I am going to keep it. It's very nice for a beater.

I am sure I will have questions as issues pop up, but so far it's been a great car.
