3rd time trying to post. Trying to find the part number for a replacement armrest for my 2007 S40. Tried going to the local Volvo dealer (in Germany). They ordered the part in February 2016. Yes, 2016. Each time I stop into the dealer to check the status, the date keeps getting pushed to the right. Finally I emailed Volvo corp hq. After 2 emails to them, I got a reply. They said I should be contacted shortly. That was yesterday (more than 12 hrs). I even tried emailing a dealer in the U.S. *crickets*crickets* Does anyone know where I can get the replacement armrest?!?!?! Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Bueller?! Bueller?!

Yes you can get a replacement arm rest - its part of the "transmission tunnel console" The part number is 3999427x where the x varies by the 4 digit interior color code. The US based mail order dealer parts stores show them for about $105 US. Check out Arm rest. Transmission tunnel console (Interior code: 5900.) for 2007 Volvo S40. #39994273 to see what I mean. You should also search on eBay or go to a local recycle yard as they should be easy to find.

 

Oh my goodness! I was just alerted today (June 1, 2020) about your reply. The forum/system only took 3 yrs to populate/notify me! I ended up getting an armrest that was close to the color without looking odd, I believe it was darker. I do appreciate it...although I traded my Volvo in 2 yrs ago after the A/C went out on it. It was a solid car. It lasted me quite a few good years...but it was time to move on. Thanks again!
