Hello! My name is Brandon, my first car is a Volvo v70 XC AWD turbo wagon, which I have owned for 6 months, and about a month ago a coolant hose got punctured, drained my coolant and blew my head gasket and cylinder head, and I am now in the process of learning how to fix it

 

Welcome, what year is your V70? And how many miles are on it? How far along are you in your process?

 

It is a 2000 and it has 244k miles, which I know is a lot but I needed an affordable awd

 

I know how that is, have you fixed anything on it yet, or are you in the forum to figure out how?

 

I've got the head out, and I took the head off my parents 97 850 as I was told it would work, I got it on and the engine almost full put back together before finding out it probably wouldn't work, I will have to order a new cylinder head soon

Unfortunately it will not work even though it should. They starting changing a lot of stuff in 98 on the volvos. Good luck with the head swap and let us know how you make out.
