How are you all. I thought I may join to say hello. I have a 15 year old that is getting her license and I am considering buying her a 97 960.
SO I thought i may join up and seewhat im getting my self in to.
When i was inCollege I workedat a Volvo shop in Dallas called"born again cars" now its calle DallasEllect...MarkBroberg (niceguy by the way) was my boss and stil owns it!
My last volvo was a 740 GL i thinkmany many moons ago.

Welcome. Bought a 96 850 for my son who turns 16 in April. Normally I would say look at the front wheel drive Volvo's (850 or 70 series) but as you are in TX there will seldom be snow/ice to drive on, so the RWD should be fine. Either way you are making a wise decision in putting her in one of the safest cars on the road.
