Default Hey everyone

I agree with weppal, even though there's only 14 members, we still need some posts to get this going. Maybe volvoforums, admin, should start advertising a little bit.

Any way, I'm a 16 year old junior in Southern Indiana and I've got a 1988 Volvo 240 DL with a 2.3L in-line 4 cylinder with a port-injected EFI system. This car is completely stock, for now, exept for a dual cone cold air intake filter off a civic intake system. My dad pretty much forced me to get it, I didn't really want it because it was a 4 cylinder and it was ugly as heck, but I couldn't pass up the $300 price tag! After putting about $1500 of work into restoring it with stock parts and tunning the timing just right I got it to do 0-60 in 7.5 sec and up to 107 mph in fourth! It actually gets up to 105 mph in third but its high end torque is so low that, atfull throttle, I can't get it into fourth so after I got it up to 105 in third, I dropped it to three-quarters throttle to kick it up to forth.

I'm planning on getting the engine bored out to a 2.5 L, mainly to get all the defects out of the cylinders, install a super charger, new intake manifold, piggy-back ecu, new computer chipset, custom cold air intake system, a header, new exhaust system, high performance ipd cam and adjustable cam gear, rims, air ride system, and a universal spoiler. Got any suggestions?

Default Hey everyone

Hey, Im a 17 year old junior in the NW chicago subs. Just got a 2.3L 1996 volvo 850 turbo. I have some automotive experience and will be workin @ a shop over the summer. Plans for the volvo are im gonna port the intake manifold & heads, install a manual boost controller, auto tranny cooler, k&n with shop vac tubing for cold air, koni shocks, big brakes and SS steel lines. I cant find a rear sway bar for it, which would normally be the first mod for me for a front wheel drive car (darn understeer)

AutoX47... go to ipdusa.com. They have rear sway bars for your car and many others.
