how to remove lockout cable from ignition lock ?

Default how to remove lockout cable from ignition lock ?
also i don't know how old the timing belt is . what to do ?

1998 v70 GLT

If the key won't come out in park, I have found that a shot of WD40 inside the shift **** will fix them. The button isn't popping out in park. I just thought I'd mention that in case it helps.

Default the removal of lockout cable from ignition lock
i have to swap out the ignition lock . the holdup is i don't know how to remove the lockout cable from the ignition lock .

Default i have no key
i am told the cable will come out if lock is in position 1 . i have no key . what do i have 2 do ?
