Question Intro and help ID'ing a vacuum hose

All, first post and wanted to say Hello and glad you guys are here. I just picked up a Volvo 1994 940 wagon and am loving it... slow as a dog, heavy as a tank, non-turbo model.

While I was going through the engine (B230f) I noticed a vacuum hose near the center of the engine bay against the firewall (photo attached, hose held with the yellow Zip Tie) that was not connected to anything and hissing badly. Guessing this is not as designed. Anyone know where this thing goes? I've looked all over for a vac diagram, or photo without success. I see nothing obvious within reach of the hose, nor do I see any other nipples or hoses that are not connected to anything.

I attempted to take a photo where the other end of the hose goes, but was not very successful. I'll try again later on that. It seems that the hose goes into either a pressure switch (round component with another vacuum hose and a wire), or this is a just a wireloom/cover heading somewhere and there is no switch components. The car does not seem to suffer when leaking or blocked, but I would like to solve this.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Well not not any thoughts of course, just those that are relevant to the solve, but I am happy to entertain any.

Thanks!
