I've been a Volvo owner since 1969 and am currently on my third unit; 94 940 Special Addition celebrating 30 years of assembly in Canada. Not that I have a lot of miles (139,000 kilometers) on this as I am also running a Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. I do my own oil/filter changes on a regular 5,000 km basis and there's been no real problems with my 940 up to about a year and a half ago when several of my dash idiot lights came on very dim and at the same time the lights for the instrument panel would not work. I've diagnosed this to be related to humidity as running with heat on would restore the lighting and return the dim lighted idiot lights to the off position. Anyway, just thought I'd make the introduction and I enjoy reading about some of the problems out there and the suggested solutions. It would be nice though if all people with their problems would actually report the final fix as I find a lot of the threads leaves one hanging. Cheers.
