Just picked up a CLEAN 1992 240 wagon
This will be my fourth Volvo and my 3rd 240. I just had a 2000 XC 70 blow a head gasket and am going back to the 240's.
This one is for my wife - but its so nice, I might drive it.
We live in the bay area, and bought the car from a place in portland. its being shipped.
I cant wait!
The car is mechanically sound with working AC, all electrical, air bag, etc.
It has the original stereo - so I am going to change that out, and tint the windows.
Will post pics later.

I paid top dollar for the 240 - so I hope it doesnt have any issues.
So far the exterior looks to be about 95% and the interior about 90%. All the plastic and trim is there - most is holding on tight and not cracking.
A few small cracks in the door pockets - which I hope to fix.

Favor Request
Congrats on your "new" car. I'm wondering if I could ask a favor of you. I'm trying to determine what Cylinder head is on your model Volvo engine. There is a casting number stamped on the side of the head between the 2nd and 3rd exhaust ports where the exhaust manifold attached to the head. it should be a number such as "1000 530" or "1000 531". I think you should be able to see it with a flashlight without too much trouble.
I would really appreciate the help if you would be so kind.
Thanks, Jim
