Hi, guys.

I have been posting questions down in the C70 forum, and wanted to drop a note here and tell you guys that I sincerely appreciate the responses I have gotten.

I am so excited! It sounds crazy, but I bought a 2006 C70 on eBay(!) from what appears to be a super small dealership in Dallas. I have been worried this whole time about getting ripped off, but the delivery guy just called and said he is a day ahead of schedule, and is in Nashville, only 3 hours from me right now! I did have it inspected and checked the Carfax before purchasing, and now that I know it's actually on the way, I feel much better.

I have only owned one convertible before (a 94 V6 Camaro) and honestly, it flexed and moaned and was very sporty looking without having the power. I'm older now, and don't want the "sports car" look anymore, but still love convertibles. The C70 was near the top of a very short list of convertibles that I would have liked to have found, and thanks to this eBay deal, I was able to enact my dream!

So wow, I am jumping out of my skin. Only 3 more hours!

I picked it up earlier tonight, and my 10-year old daughter and I ran around in it for a while. It seems to be pretty awesome. Has a lot more power than the reviews led me to believe... I was expected a real slug, horsepower-wise. lol It's got bugs all over the back from the long trip. Tomorrow will be leather cleaning and car washing day.

I'm glad to join my fellow Volvo owners here!

I had a guy I trust today change the oil today. I asked him if he could tell anything about it. It just said, "It's dark."

Now, this might seem funny, but I am having trouble figuring out how to open the trunk. The downloaded manual doesn't mention it! lol

 

Congrats on the purchase! I think those have a switch above the license plate. Volvos are a little different on opening the trunk! Post pics. of your ride when you get a chance to see your new ride. Happy motoring!

Cool. Glad that helped. When I took delivery of my 850 I sat at the car lot for 15 minutes trying to figure out the trunk myself before the guy walked over and just pulled the tab above the hood! Do'h! I've never felt dumber in my life!
