Hi. I have a 93 240 sedan. I ran over a sewer cover and cracked the rear axle housing. The repair shop says a new one is 2300 for the part. I'm thinking about looking for a used rear axel . Can I use one from another year car or does it have to be the same year/model etc. I know nothing about cars. Appreciate any advice. I'm in Michigan if anyone has a lead on parts. Tx Sandra

 

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market will search recycle yards for you by make/model and part type and will show compatible years. Used is the way to go. You can also search craigslist to find individuals parting out a 240 but I'd search car-parts first to find which models/years will work for you.
