New 760 Owner
Hi!
I am David Riedle, and am located in Michigan.
I have had several Volvos in the past, including a P 1800, and a P 1800 ES.
Recently, I purchased a 1987 760 Turbo with only 40,000 miles on it! The car was originally from North Carolina, and was shipped to Michigan, put in a heated garage, and left unused for 15 years. It has never seen snow.
I am doing a restoration on a 1972 Fiat 124 Coupe, and bought the Volvo as another interesting car.
I find that I will probably keep the 760, and sell off the desirable Fiat. The Volvo is just fun to drive. My goal is to keep it as a survivor car.
The 760 needs a little work on a few things...the climate control system has a vacuum leak somewhere under the dash, which I am looking at this weekend for, the high-zoot radio system only plays sound out of the front two speakers, no sound from the rear deck or rear door speakers, and the sound is very low, so I am guessing it is an amplifier problem, the passive equalizer works, and of course, it needs a headliner. I will be having that done soon.
The car is in amazing shape. Just treated the leather seats, and cleaning things up this weekend.
Here are a couple of photos.

What is really amazing about her is that I have not done anything to the car, other than wash it. She has been an interesting project so far...
