Just bought a 99 C70 convertible from my neighbor for $400. body is in great shape, everything works it included spec-r chrome wheels..

The bad: needed a radiator, its been replaced but car sat for 9 months and now is idling rough like not all cylinders are firing. going to change spark plugs and go from there. is there anything else that might cause it?

$400 for a C70! I already hate you. Could be bad gas, clogged injectors. Try the simple things first before going on to more complex reasons. How about some pics?

I am so jealous!! Talk about a steal.

Anyway, drain the tank and put fresh gas in her. Also, do a sea foam treatment on her to clean up the intake and injectors. After that, do a full tune up and she should be good to go.

It that does not help get her running great, check the computer for codes and let us know what they are so we can help you pin-point the issue.

Bought a new battery today, was idling very good. Did notice that the top radiator hose was swelling when I was trying to fill tank. Have new thermostat in hand awaiting install.

As for seafoam, it's on the list to do. What hose u recommend on removing for the intake?

Is there an easy way to drain gas?

Thanks. Pics to come it's still on jack stands for the radiator install.

Well my dream turns into a nightmare. Water in oil pan n coolant smelling exhaust.
Any special tools I need for head gasket job?

I found n was looking at the step by step procedure for the 850 replacement. How close is it in similarities.

Its been a while. Checking in.
Replaced head gasket, head was too warped so sent it to tidewater heads for rebuild.
Currently car was running till there was smoke coming out of dip stick. Removed intake manifold have parts on hand to replace the PVC valve. Cleaned the ptc also. Tomorrow I'll start installing everything.

Total so far including buying car 1500 that was also 250$ to pay mechanic for gasket replacement. Learning alot here. Pics to come soon after she gets a bath.

I did drop the top last night after rebuild was done n took the wife around the block. She is loving it
