New here!
hey all, new to the site i got a 2004.5 volvo s40 here a couple months ago, 2.4i, absolutely love it although ive noticed there arnt much in the modifications you can do. so whats everybody done to theirs volvos?
not a lot to do for the 2.4is. most people will say if you want more power, sell it and buy a turbo :-)
With that said, I'd start with the suspension - wheels, tires then look for upgrades to the sway bars. After that, go for shocks (ie Bilsteins?) and possibly springs or a shock tower brace. For the radio you may be able to find a Grom adaptor to use an MP3 player.
From there, I'd focus on maintenance items - transmission and coolant drain/fills, brake line flush and a move to synthetic oil can help keep the VVT gear clean. You may want to look at your choice of brake pads and rotors (slotted/drilled can look nice with open wheels and painted calipers). And don't forget the christmas tree air freshener for the mirror :-)
