Hey there guys. My first post here, I'm looking into getting a Volvo wagon. I like the idea because I can put a barrier in the back and the dogs can ride back there.

Any pointers? I'm going to spend about $4000 or less. A/C is important because it's HOT down here in Chattanooga in the summer.

I'm doing the smart thing and asking the experienced owners first before I even drive one. Normally when I buy a car, I find out shortly after purchasing that something is wrong with it that is something that experienced owners recognize as fairly common problems.

So, can you offer some guidance? Right now I own a 1993 Lexus SC400, a 1979 Chevy C10 pickup, and a 2002 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Quite a few people at the office have Volvos and like them, so they caught my interest.

Welcome to the forum. Look at the 850's and the early V70's. Those should be in your price range.
