New here.....sort of
Hi, I was a member here several years ago, but can't find my old ID.
I came with a question, but managed to answer a couple of questions, too.
I drove my first Volvo, a friend's 1957 444, in high school. It was unusual, but more fun than my 59 VW and had a better radio, so I drove it whenever possible. At the time Volvos were sold out of an abandoned gas station. A few years later (1970) I was on the waiting list for one of the first Datsun 240Zs, and became impatient. I found a used dark green 1969 1800S, and jumped into a 40 year run of driving/owning Volvos.
During that time, I've had several 1800s ranging to a beat '61 P1800 to a '72 1800ES, 1 544, several 122s, and many of the 140/240s. My current car is a '92 740 wagon that is clean but has been sitting for several years.
That's, unfortunately, why I'm back here. I'm going to try to sell it. It will feel weird to not have a Volvo, but I only need one vehicle and I need my van for work.
