Hi,

I am a new member with a 1990 240dl that I recently acquired. It had not been run for close to 2 years. I drained the gas, replaced both fuel pumps, fuel filter, fuel relay, spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap, and air filter. I was able to get the car running but it would stall out for no reason and it would take some time before it would restart. My last ride with it, it stalled and now it will not restart. I tried reading the codes from the diagnostic unit but it is not giving any codes. The car only has 134,000 miles and i am looking forward to putting many more on it. I have the Bentley repair book on order but in the mean time I thought I would reach out to the group for some insight.
Any ideas what to do next?

i found the problem: loose connection at the battery for the fuel pump. ugh...
