Default New Member Introduction

I am a new member here and a first time Volvo owner. To offer some background, I bought my 1988 740 GLE Wagon off my brother for $100. It was sitting for about 9 months as it needed the engine replaced. I had a local Volvo guy put in a replacement engine. Total for that was $1180. With all that was done by my brother (before the engine went) and the rebuilt motor I hope to be "good to go" for a while. I now need to concentrate on the "quirks". I have started a post about my passenger doors not opening. I have also found that the roof rack is somewhat loose. I will be dropping the headliner and I'll try to tighten it back down (after applying a touch of silicon). Personally I don't like holes in the roof of cars, I'm certain water is leaking in. I'd actually like to remove the rack and plug the holes. Wouldn't know what to plug them with though. Another trouble spot is the plastic along the bottom of the two rear side windows need replaced, looks like water is getting in there too. I know this forum will be very useful and I am sorry to be so long winded.
