New Volvo owner introduction
My wife and I just bought a used 2005 XC70 with a little over 40k on the clock, she'll be using it as her daily driver. It's apparently got just about every option you could get except the nav and rear facing third row, even has the nice wooden steering wheel. Bought it certified pre-owned so it's still got 2 years of warranty on it, hopefully won't need to use it.
I've always been an automotive enthusiast and have always done my own work (with the exception of alignments, mounting/balancing tires, and state inspections). So far I'm impressed with the Volvo as far as build quality, ride quality, and comfort, if it holds up reliability-wise I may end up replacing my daily driver with one when it kicks the bucket.
Other cars in my garage, if anyone is interested
1998 Buick Regal GS - my daily driver/beater
1989 GTA Trans Am 5-spd - project car (someday)
2001 Trans Am Firehawk #103 - summertime weekend car - sometimes sees the dragstrip
1953 ****** Overland 4x4 pickup truck - project for waaay down the road]
Anyway, looking forward to learning what I can here!

I'll intro myself. First Volvo I've driven in years -- since my college roommate's 144(?)--the one that looked like a shrunken '48 Ford. Wife's Honda Pilot is pushing 130K, so she decided she needed a new car, and didn't want an SUV or the Prius she test drove. I found at the local dealer an '06 V70 with less than 14K, 17" wheels, a perfect carfax report and Volvo Certified warranty. The heated seats sealed the deal for her here in the cold Midwest. Me? I got the Pilot as we always share cars -- she gets the first half, I get the second half. Paid $22K, but the sticker was just shy of $40K. I feel sorry for Ford Motor Credit or whoever paid for the lease. Big depreciation hit; but all the Ford big shots seem to be bailing on their Volvo leases now that Volvo's up for sale. Tons of '06's, mostly S60 but some S80's on the used lot.
BTW, Artic White with tan/taupe (pale) interior -- a "lady's car" for sure.
Garage: 06 V70
03 Honda Pilot
01 Honda CRV
01 Honda CRV (not a misprint, but another story)
74 Honda CL 360 in the most lovely metallic avocado Honda ever made.
