Just joined about 10 min ago and think this site will help me a lot on my new adventure.
I am putting together a 1930 Model A Ford with a Chevy 6 cyl and 5 speed tranny and I found this really neat little VOLVO REAREND to put in it. 3.31:1 ratio that I think will be ideal for what I want. I have no idea what year it is and was wondering if anyone on here could help. I was told by the fellow I bought it from that it is a late 70's Dana. From a lot of internet search I believe it to be a 1030 Rear. Before I put it in I wanted to make sure I can still get parts for it and found everything needed at NAPA Auto Parts except a Ring & Pinion if I ever needed one. After a lot of searching I haven't been able to locate a place that sells them.
Does anyone know of a site where I might use as a reference for information? The part# on the Rearend is PART NR 255808 and the FABR NR 101488 I would appreciate any information anyone can give me on this Rearend. Thanks Bill
