New Member and New to Volvo
Hi Volvo Forums (VF) members,
I recently bought a 2015.5 Volvo S60 T6 Platinum Drive E with 19in wheels and Sport suspension with the money I got from someone crashing my BMW 135i convertible. After getting to know my Volvo, I am disturbed by the new fully Electric Power Steering (EPS) on the latest model year when compared to BMW's EPS system or Toyota's EPS system.
The steering is not precise (loose) and overly light (too much power steering assistance) ONLY during 60+ mph on twisty freeways. This situation causes inaccuracy in steering, which can result in compromised safety and poor response on twisty roads or during emergency driving maneuvers.
The nature of EPS versus traditional hydraulic power steering is that it is easily adjustable/tunable by software reprogramming or changing the sensor(s). Where can I post to get answers to my questions or who in VF can help me?
