New Member V70 T5 Auto
Just a few lines to say hello and introduce myself, I am a little way from most of you as I live in the UK and already a member of the UK forum but as we all share a common interest here I am, and I am a subscriber to Robert Spinners excellent youtube channel, in fact it was one of his videos that brought me here.
My vehicle is a 1998 T5 CD Auto Estate (wagon) with all options fitted at point of purchase, I paid £206.00GB which works out at about $334.00 as here in the UK a lot of old Volvo are just seen as junkers to drive around in until they break then throw away. The car was a one owner vehicle with some history and had cover just over 187,000 miles on purchase the car drove excellently with no issues other than a slight blow from the cat.
Car as purchased;

Since purchasing I have done a few improvements, fit some roofbars, wind deflectors on front windows, a roof spoiler and a towbar, I also changed all the filters, spark plugs and oil;

Recently I have changed the cambelt, water pump and tensioners some of the old parts here;

And today I changed the PCV system and associated parts where needed;

So there we are one UK spec V70 T5 given a new lease of life, I intend to change the transmission fluid soon using the drain 3 litres, refill and drive method for as although there are no issues and the fluid looks in good condition it's for my piece of mind.

Thanks for the welcome Robert, I actually did the cambelt and PCV jobs after viewing your video guides, although to be honest I am useful with a toolkit as I have 2 other cars to look after, a 2005 Ford Mondeo ( I think it's a Fusion in the USA) and a 1991 Landrover Discovery.
