New Volvo lover
My wife and I purchased our first Volvo a few weeks ago and I'm already considering a second. This one is a 2008 V70, white/tan, 3.2L engine, with 85,000 miles from the first (only) owner.
I'm hoping to use this forum as a helpful resource for repairs and replacement parts. I'm very handy and learned everything I know about cars from my first; a '66 Mustang. Since then I have owned two Saturns and two Jeep Cherokees (still have the second, a black '99 with over 260k miles) and my wife's cars have been a mix of garbage cars and trucks, most recently a 2012 Dodge Journey that we sold to Carvana for $1000 more than we owed on the loan. That profit partially paid for the Volvo.
So far, the Volvo has proven to be a solid highway car with more storage space than the Cherokee, and a hundred times more luxurious. My only quibble is the inability to upgrade the radio to something more modern; my Jeep has a new Sony head unit with Apple CarPlay and I would love to add that to every car we ever own, but I fear that's not in the cards for the P3 Volvo.
