Default New Volvo owner

Hi, I'm Ed, and I just purchased a 1995 Volvo 850glt. I love the car, but it needs some work. I am trying to find out as much as possible about this car so that I don't have to deal with the dealer. It's great to be here, and I hope to help out, as well as be helped.

Welcome. Try to find a local mechanic that specializes in Volvo's. You don't want to take it to a mechanic that does not know Vovlo's. Take it from one who has tried that.

I agree if there is something you can't do. Make sure you take it to someone that knows what they are doing.

Thanks for the info. Volvos are interesting cars aren't they? It's what I've found out in the week that I've owned my first.

What problems are you encountering exactly? Dealers aren't always a poor decision. Sometimes aftermarket items are not as good quality. I have learned that with items such as brakes and even windshield wipers!
