Hey! My name is Doug, and as new Volvo owner just want to introduce myself. I just purchased a red 2000 V40, and drove it back from Richmond, Va. to my home in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was a pleasure to drive--love the seats! I am looking forward to learning much more about the vehicle and marque via this forum. I am a Porsche enthusiast--I own 2 944's and race a 911 in Porsche Club of America Club Racing around the Southeast, especially at Sebring. I need a dependable car, and the Volvo V40 caught my attention for its safety, reliability, and esthetics. So far I am very happy with it. As mentioned, I hope to become as knowledgable about the Volvo as I am about the Porsches, as well as meet some great people.

I love my V40 too, despite a few quirks (the car of course[sm=drooldude.gif]). Everyone who rides in it is impressed - last one was a BMW 330 driver.
