New Volvo Owner
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a Volvo for the first time.
The car is a 1999 S70 T5 which I purchased from the original owner and it has 160000 k on it. He has always had it serviced at the Volvo dealer in his area, which is a good thing I would say.
I'm from Toronto and if there are any other Volvo drivers out there that would like to chat about the car and its maintenance, repairs and performance I am always up for a meet up to talk and hang out.
I'm a fairily picky guy where every rattle and sneak bothers me and I like to do things myself to the extent that I can, which is not that much, but I am also a learner so if there's anyone out there who can tell or show me how to do certain repairs I would really appreciate it.
Anyways I am glad to be part of this forum and I'm happy it exists.
Peace

thank you gentlemen,
i had two questions right off the bat.
1. how much is a timing belt change? oddly the guy at the volvo dealership told me it's due at 168000 on this model which seems a little weird to me. too exact.
2. Also the car shakes a slight bit at general driving(i'm very picky even though i know the car is 10 years old) but the tires are new and the wheels are balanced (front ones at least for sure). Any ideas what else it could be?
alignment maybe?
