Howdi all just picked up my first Volvo yesterday. She's a 1982 244GL, 4cyl, 3spd auto with 351,000kms on the clock. No major problems just needs a bit of TLC and a big dent in the drivers side rear quarter. Up until now ive only ever owned/driven Fords and Toyota's and the Volvo is a big difference! Beautiful car to drive.

I know this isn't the place for questions but its just a quick one - is the blower fan always on '1'? Ill be stuffed if I can get mine to turn off (turns off fine when I turn ignition off unlike other threads I have read on newer models)

Yes they designed the fan to blow on low all the time. They want you to have fresh air and keep the window clear.
