Hello VolvoForum members. My name is Long and as the title mentions I'm from NorCal (Bay Area) and am looking to purchase a 98-00 V70 T5/R 5-speed. I'll be getting to know all the stickies soon enough.

I'm mainly just checking in and doing the necessary research prior to purchasing a V70. What's the "unicorn" of V70/XC70? Is it the V70-R with 5-speed transmission?

 

No 5 speeds off the line with the R models, just the T5's.

 

Thanks for the info and also for that link. It'll help me out for sure. Still torn between an 850 and a V70 T5M/R.

Requirements:

- Wagon (for the wife)
- Turbo with manual transmission (for me)
- Pre-2000 (my family likes the older models)
- AWD not necessary

 

T5M Wagon it is. They are hard to find but they are out there.
