Hows it goin'? I'm kinda new to the whole Volvo thing. I have been looking very hard and doing research in a vehicle that would best suite my needs. I always loved wagons and always had a soft spot for Volvo's. I needed a new car for a newly arriving kiddo. So I bought a nice and clean 87 240 DL Wagon with a 5 speed (will post a pic a little later). My work currently has me overseas and had a my wife and friend go snag it for me sight unseen. I trust its in good working order. I got pretty good feedback from the wife so that has to be a good sign.

I come into Volvo's from being a huge VW nut. I have owned well over 30 air cooled VW's. I am just looking for something diferent to modify and make my own. I usually make my own parts in my garage or have friends with bigger tools help me. I try not to buy anything but metal, gas, and welding wire. Whether its being cocky or confident I feel I can make anything work with the right tools, knowledge being the most important.

I have been lurking since I have been researching before I bought my wagon. Now that I have it, I will be lurking a bit more and asking for some really random questions as I have no access to the vehicle. Just trying to do research so I can jump on it when I get home.
