passenger side seat motor

Default passenger side seat motor

we have a problem with the seat motor (fore and aft) my wife had a coffee mug caught under the seat.and it broke the motor and cable.the seat has (sips airbag) can i remove the seat and replace motor myself.and would i need to go to the dealer to have them reactivate the airbag?

If you don't have a service manual, I wouldn't bother with SIPS. I would take the car to a dealer/independent shops that specialise in Swedish/European makes. I would avoid generic garages/franchise shops for servicing Volvos.

Try posting this question in the S80 forum; people there have better knowledge on the car than I do.
