Default PO108 issues

Hello all! I am the happy owener of 2 Volvos! One 2013 XC 60 3.2 AWD and a 2017 XC90 T6. I love them both!
I am having PO108 issues with my XC 60. I have replaced the sensor with no sucess.
My mechanic removed a baffle from the Air Intake hose becaue it was cracked. He said it wasn't necessary. He closed up the opening.
I was not sure of what he was doing but trusted his experience.
The code stay off after clearing it but returns each time I shut the engine off and restart it.
Could removing the baffle cause issues with the PO108 code returning?

Rule #1. Diagnose then replace parts when proven bad. It can get very frustrating buying stuff you don't need. Note under "condition" - the sensor is tested when "ignition switch position 2. It is tested when the ignition is turned on - that's why it comes back every time you start the car.

Thank you very much for your message. This is how I solved my problem. I very carefully tweaked the metal pieces inside of the connector to get a better contact and it worked!
