Proud new v70 T5 owners with a problem
hey guys
just purchased a v70 t5 2.3 with 189,000 on the clock and on a P plate look forward to talking to you all.
we are a group of youngsters raising money for a local charity and we have bought the car as a project car aswell as using it for the Screwball Rally later this year.
we do have a problem unfortunately the car have a ticking sound coming from the front of the engine we were told when we purchased it that it was a stuck hydraulic lifter and they had used a clearing fluid and after 100 miles it should be gone. The drive home was over a 100 miles unfortunately we still have the problem anybody know what it could be and the easiest way to sort the problem? it ticks at high speeds but not as much as when it is idling any help would be appreciated and we look forward to hearing from you all very soon will be uploading pictures shortly
