Replacement key

I have a 06 Volvo S6 and I only have one key. I called my local dealer, they told me it will cost almost $300. That’s for a standard key without the remote. Is there any other way to get a new key?

not if you want one that works. The keys are coded with a chip so they need to be programmed.

Check around, you might find it a bit cheaper at another dealership. I just paid $250 : (
