hello, im new on here.
last august when i turned 16, i was givenmy dads old1995 volvo 940.i didnt like it much at firstbut the more i drive it the more i love it! iwasplanning on buying a sports car, but instead decided to put some money into the 940. i put a new system in, tinted the windows, restored the black bumpers, and was planning on buying some rims but i cant find them anywhere, will 850 or 960 rims fit? whats thelug nutpattern?

The 850 wheels will not fit your car. The 850 is a front wheel drive car and the 940 is a rear wheel drive. A 960 wheel should fit. The lug pattern on the 940 is 5 x 108. I don't know what the offsets are. It is pretty limited.

 

The 960 rims will fit some of the 740's and 940's.
It all depends on which calipers are on the car.

 

850 rims should fit, but with spacers. Am I wrong?

 

I was thinking that the FWD vs. RWD made them incompatible. I could be wrong and someone please correct me if that is the case. I don't want to give bad advice. Thanks.

 

Aren't 240's RWD? I have seen a 240 sedan with Volans on it.

 

Yeah, 240's are RWD. Everything until the 850 was a RWD. After that FWD or AWD. It's all so confusing.[]

 

thanks, i had a terrible time finding 940 rims, but i saw some on ebay that said they would fit a 940, and i think they said a 50 mm offset, is that correct?

 

im not 100% sure buti think the offset is 20mm, according to discount tire.
