Default Pics are up! and the rims fit!

I just picked up a set of 940 rims yesterday and assumed that since the bolt pattern was the same they would fit. Now that I was doing some research looking for center caps for them I realized that the offset for the T850 is high and offset for the 940 is medium. Will these rims fit? will I rub?

Additional info. Stock blades were 16 x 6.5

The 940 rims are 15 x 6 :s

I don't know. 940's are RWD, so they'll have a different offset.

haha. 850s were the first FWD Volvo. I think they're may have been a couple models before it, but I mean out of the 200, 700, 800, 900 series, 850's were the only FWD model.

thanks for the comfort gilber33 lol but I still feel like a major noob. Guess its a good thing I'm learning something new.

Anyways might as well give an intro, I literally just picked up the wagon last week 1996 Black Turbo 850 Wagon. I'll post pics as soon as I pick it up from the mechanic. Hopefully tomorrow, if the tires fit on and everything.

There's 130,000 km since there are few cdns here I should start measuring in miles. So that's...80 778 miles. Man and I just read that odometers tend to stop working. Didn't even check if that odometer was working... so I hope that's not why the car has so low mileage :S

Car test drove great, there's some oil underneath, mechanic said its from the turbo. I'll check the pvc thing tomorrow and hope all is well. Can't wait to road trip with this baby

odometers usually don't give out till high hundred thousands. Your turbo oil return line gasket may be bad, those are known to wear out, if so, it's a simple fix.

PICTARS!!

Easy diy fix. Two hex screws. That's it.

My '97 960 wheels fit fine on my '95 850. I put them on there while I was having my 850 wheels re-finished.

Default Pics are up!

Sorry I haven't had time to clean her before posting pics. BTW the rims fit with no problems

Suggestions on easy mods? I want to get her tinted but will probably wait till after the new year. Also the interior lights don't turn on when I open the doors, the switch is set to turn on when doors are open, the two other modes on the same switch works. Any ideas?

Not sure how to check the switch for the lights. I think it's in the latch.

Default Discover your inner mileage

Thanks for the nod to the canucks. You can check your ECU's count of the kms/milage by following some commonly posted steps. I found some on Matthew's site, (there are probably some here as well) after I noticed when mine stopped once. It stopped for about 100km then started again for no reason. I became paranoid and checked this function on OBD 1 to discover that it was only out by a marginal amount. As far as I know there is no sane way to tamper with the ECU's mileage, however I imagine swapping ECU with another vehicle (an early wreck) could be deceptive. Condition trumps mileage anyways, so if you are happy with your car's condition then don't worry - it will cost you money anyways.
Good luck

Easy mods: MBC and boost gauge, after that, easiest and cheapest mod.

You can check your mileage from the OBDI port only if its a 94/95.
