S40 2008 p0089 code FUEL RAIL PRESSURE
Checked the pressure it is 85 which is high replaced fuel rail sensor didn’t solve the problem. Any ideas on what would cause high pressure at fuel rail. Car runs fine but check engine light is on.
a few things come to mind - wiring issue to the fuel pressure sensor (did you swap the original sensor back in to see if anything changes)? restriction in the fuel line (not sure if your model has a return line with a check valve etc) and finally, a problem with the pump. I'd have a shop with VIDA or similar test the duty cycle on the pump and check the signal from the FPS to see if its properly telling the pump to ease up...
