Default Should I continue to wait?

New to Volvo and have never owned one before. Went to the dealer in May 2022 and put down $500 and ordered an 2023 XC60 recharge. Was told it would be in around September. Most of everything I have read said the time frame for delivery was between 8 and 12 weeks. I figured with the chip shortage it could be a little longer. It is now November 2022 and over 20 weeks and no vehicle. Got a call last week from the dealer who said the vehicle had arrived and they needed to do the programming. Made an appointment to pick it up on Monday. He called that morning and said it was not our vehicle that came in. I am in the state of Georgia, USA and I see where other dealers seam to be getting some of these models in. Maybe they were ordered before April, guess I'll never know. Just wondering since this is my first experience with Volvo is this usual or should I start looking at other manufacturers to get a vehicle?
