Default child seat anchor simple question

Does the 850 1995 have the child seat anchor installed?
This is a requirement in Canada and my daughter has to have the car inspected on thursday.
If it is not I have to send her to have one installed before the inspection.

Thanks
AJ

AJ,

According to the owners manual Canadian cars were provided with one anchor that was in the Glove box. If anyone installed it you would find it under the rear deck on the sedan, or on the back of the rear seat in a wagon. These cars are not equipped with the LATCH system. You will only use the anchor for a forwarded mounted seat. A rear facing child seat does not incorporate the anchor. You also will not need the seatbelt locking clip, as Volvo's have the child/adult toggle switch on all seat belts except the driver's. If you need to order one- I recently got one and could not find it through an online retailer and had to use the dealer.

hope that helps,

Justin

What about the screw to enable running day lights? Ask her to look at the on/off selector for the lights. There is a small screw on some cars which will enable what you want.

Justin, where is the adult/child selector? I would really like to use that but I have never seen it before.

Thanks,
Axel

It's just the little red button on the back of the seat belt clip. The 'child' selection keeps the lap portion from slacking when you have the seat installed. It's so you don't need the little H shaped clip to lock in the tension on the seat belt. Just push over that red button, and cinch it down till your heart's content.
