A Swede from Michigan
Also a new Volvo owner! Actually I bought a used 2004 S40 1.9T, because my Nissan truck was totaled.
This was on Craig's list and it was a good price.... Had to replace the serpentine belt tensioner, ordered the part, thought it would be maybe an hour and a half job.... well three and a half hours later, success! A tough place to work in and 18 degrees outside.
Struts are next, at least the fronts, paint the calipers hammered silver. 113,000 miles so I think I'll have it for awhile. Just that it is so low is my concern after the tall truck!
No dealers around for 150 miles, it is up to me to maintain this. Being a Swede and a mechanic should make it easy!
