Default Thinking of coming back to Volvo..

Years ago I owned Volvo - a 1985 740 and a 1995 850. Both were nice cars - I think I liked the 850 better.

Then I went off and got a VW TDI, and have been there since, but there has been a bit of a scandal in that area, and it looks like VW is going to buy back my car - paying me more than I spent for it new 2 years ago. The check from VW won't come until January at the earliest, so I have time to research my options.

At the moment, I am looking at other options - a V60 is probably the closest thing to what I currently have, and I would probably try and find one CPO. The one thing I would really like I can't get - a 5-speed manual. The 850 had one. Volvo apparently no longer bothers to bring them to our market.

I might ask some model specific questions in the S60/V60 forum, but I will probably lurk for a bit first and read up on what the newer models are like.

I picked up a 2015 CPO V60 Platinum about a week ago. I actually look forward to getting in the car and going someplace now. I still have a bit of paperwork that is in the works before I get my actual license plates.

My job tomorrow is to go and clean all of my personal crap out of the VW, and drive it for a bit just to keep it in halfway decent operating condition. If I am sufficiently bored, I might even take it to the car wash.
