Default Turbo crack TD04L-12T

Hi guys I'm new here, got some questions about my turbo for s40 2.0t b4204t3. Found some cracks, 1st between the wastegate and impeller side, lastly on the twin scroll area. My questions are,
  1. Which turbo model can just bolt-on?
  2. Putting a 14t turbo and reduce the psi to 8?
  3. is my turbo still safe to use for how long?
  4. Is there a way to fix it?
  5. Anything in your mind?
I thank you for the help 🙏

The TD04 turbos are all pretty similar except for the flange designs. the 12t/14t refers to the compressor/impeller pumping capacity. You should be able to find some articles/posts for swapping a 14T from select s60 models for more details - from what I recall you just need to orient the flange to get it to fit. I don't think you even need to bother to reduce the PSI as the waste gate will actuate to prevent over boosting. cracks in a casting can't be fixed so you should start shopping for a replacement - plenty of rebuilds on eBay and if you prefer to shop used, check out car-part.com (a recycle yard search engine). To note, if I were to ever replace the turbo on my S40, I'd probably go the 14t route.

Here's an excellent post to check out

Thanks for all the links but the thing is, mine is 2.0t which is fragile than 1.9t. While the guy has 1.9t which is the same as t4, so changing the turbo and adding more HP definitely going to be just fine but not on 2.0t. I was thinking the same thing to swap with 14t, but i've heard that the engine can't keep up due to more airflow from the compressor. This is all because of higher compression from the engine, but what if i keep the 12t actuator into 14t, will there still be problems? Thanks for the help.
